Making sure the barbeque smoke doesn't drift in the windows and no beer gets spilled on the bodywork by visitors .....

Wash the Civic...or perhaps not. It's been a couple of months, another week won't kill it.

Investigating whether I need new boot struts and why my remote closing won't work. Stripped out the boot and can see the loom very easily. Time for Tornado Colin to bring his multimeter and electrics kit round. Ooops - mobile battery is flat, I'm at the g/f's and the charger's at home 8 miles away.

SWMBO wants to go shopping - isn't it always the way ?

Me? been to work, now nothng until BBQ later!!!!! :D

On the car.....maybe go round it to spot and note down all areas requiring body work, getting it all done soon....and my wheels.

other than that I may, note may, give it a clean inside!

If thing keep going the way they have. It will involve the following:

1. Sledgehammer
2. Petrol
3. Matches
4.H2SO4

Loading the car (not the SL ;) ) up at Costco.

Filling the Vito up with diesel ready for a trip round the M25 tomorrow (to a dog agility show).

Better leave the g/f get home and take SWMBO shooping then :D

Hoover and stonechips left for me - front brakes hoses can wait a while longer.

Had hoped to attend the MBOC National Concours day at Milton Keynes today, but can't make it. 50th anniversary of the Fintail Benzs, so they will be there in force also.

That aside, a taxi drove into the side of my 300CE on Thursday evening. Minor n/s/f bumper (his) to side of rear bumper (hers) damage whilst my other half was parking, but I have just about calmed down enough to phone him for his insurance details later. He reckons it was her fault, as she (he says) reversed into him. As he came around the corner and was driving up the road in the direction he was facing, what he was doing in the cul-de-sac side of the road, I don't know. Some old boy offered to act as his witness, who said "Well, we have to keep them off the road, don't we?" Bloody hell, I can feel a rant coming on!!

Sorry, now that I've started, please indulge me! A few pics:

After the phone call, I feel a barbie coming on!

How much space did he need?

Purely being devil's advocate here, but might he have been pulling in in front of the SL to let somebody off?

No, he had just dropped off around the corner. The shock, his bolshiness (which I wasn't aware of at the time) and the attitude of the 'witness' got the better of my other half, and she stayed put in the car until I arrived. The SL is mine, which is on double yellows, and nothing was there before I arrived.

A nice county drive to Edenbridge and its locality and then back via some lanes. Then Mr SMART repair to fix a small dent in the bonnett. Then planning Olly's next job on the car.

filled mine up with petrol... :) filling myself up with beer now.. so that car stays in the garage, still clean and shiny from the quick clean\wax i gave it last weekend.

My jobs all complete now - beer time :D

Hard to see how he ended up where he was it he was planning on going down the road - his position looks like he was planning to pull in behind your other half. Road behind your SL looks wide enough for two cars so no reason to pull (or pull in that early) in if there was a car comming the other way.
