I thought we were in a new series - that Blackpool run is an old item that was shown last series!

Series as ended, he said at the start of last weeks ep that it was the final episode.

I thought next weeks was the last. It is according to the sky planner.

Last weeks was the last!!!!

I actually wondered why they were using 57 and 08 plate cars!

I actually enjoyed this weeks show, even though it was a repeat was much better than the utter drivel that has been on for the last 2/3 weeks.

All you have to do is watch a few of the old shows on Dave to see how bad its got.

it was the last in the series. Or the show!!!!!

His last words while driving that glorious aston v12 was "I'm going to miss this" :(

Whils't i think it's become less good - I think the viewing figures are still excellent. Can't see the BBC killing off a cash cow to be honest!

I also heard on the news a few months ago that andy wilman had a blazing row with the bbc bosses regarding funding. he refused to accept a budget cut. Dont know about you but the program started out pretty good with the lambo/slr etc. Maybe they just ran out of money :(

to be fair i agree. This series was outragously short, and i believe that is down to the budget cuts from the bbc.But i really dont think its run out of steam. The thing is its not just a car show, must people watch it just for the guys. You may say thats rubbish but i bet my AMG on it, that if clarkson and the others wernt presenting the show, not even half who are viewing today, would still be watching with.I love it, wether its lost its hardcore for small amount of time...well atleastuntil the bbc have more money!!

I agree with post #9 it's all become a bit stale and tired now, I think viewing figures are still good because there is no alternative that is any better, plus its trading on the names of Clarkson, Hammond and May, the stig draws in younger viewers but yes time to kill it off and give it a rebirth somewhere down the line.

True (apart from the irritating short one). But I also tune in for the awful (and obviously) scripted dialogue, the clumsy delivery of the weak punchlines and the cringe-worthy, over-tired set pieces.

In fact, I don't know why I keep watching it - but I wouldn't miss a single episode:confused:

Says a lot about the state of modern British TV.

So many channels. So little to watch.

Bring back Chris Goffey and Tony Mason.

They at least did a proper review of a car and at the end you felt like you knew something about the vehicle. I love Top Gear but would like to see a few more serious tests of cars rather than just how much smoke it can make.
