I remember the very first episode that featured James May, doing a review of a Bentley. I wondered if he would match up to the other two. In the end, I actually preferred him to Hammond and Clarkson, just because he stood up for what he believed in, which was 'not to run on camera', and calling Hammond and Clarkson 'cocks'. Happy days...
 
The episode a couple of years ago where the 1-series BMW swapped-ends whist driving in a straight line....

You could see that Clerkson was seriously crap*ing himself. Not an unreasonable reaction, I guess.

He strangely lost interest in the 1-series after that and decided the Golf GTI was a better bet..

IMHO, the Beemer problem was suspect aerodynamics, which also resulted in them producing one of the ugliest cars on the road.
