Hi, Looking at the previous threads, I am wondering if my S320 Cdi 2007 W221 is due for a fluid change, is the fluid in the torque converter set for life, or is there a service interval for it.

Just make sure that whoever is doing the change will be changing all the fluid.....sump, TC, Cooler and pipes. Some times, all you will get is a "quickie" job, they drop the sump, change the filter, and thats it. And sell the job as a "Bargain", but it could be a very expensive "Bargain".thank you for the info Petrol Pete, I did take it to a recommended garage for a service, they changed the engine oil, which still remained black the next day and only half way up the dip stick, also the auto gear box oil, plus all the filters which I bought. it was only a week after I discovered that they do not have a star reader, do not think they checked the torque converter, or is that not done on a Star, I am now thinking of taking it to MBS in Southampton, an indipendant mercedes garage to look at the car with his star machine, they might also be able to reset the audio from off to on.
Every 40k miles on that gearbox buddy
What box he got W1ghty ?Every 40k miles on that gearbox buddy
I think you hit the nail on he head, I suspect that might have happened.Just make sure that whoever is doing the change will be changing all the fluid.....sump, TC, Cooler and pipes. Just as well its been changed, its done just over 96000 milesEvery 40k miles on that gearbox buddy
7g same as mineGiuseppi , don't worry too much about the oil going black the very next day after a change , quite normal on a diesel engine.
And asfaik, it's 40'000 miles for the first change, and every 75000 miles thereafter.7g same as mine
Hi john, who are PCS in SouthamptonIf you are in Bournemouth, take it to PCS in Southampton.
They come highly recommended on this forum.
Did you mean Prestige Car Service? If so they are in Horndean, not Southampton. If you are in Bournemouth, take it to PCS in Southampton.

About 25 miles from Southampton but still worth the drive, The owner (Ollie) will drain the whole gearbox, torque converter and oil cooler.Sorry - should have had "near" rather than "in"!
I would not hesitate to use both PCS and Comand on Line as required.Hi, DSM10000, thanks for that info, I need my radio and phone sorting, might give them a call to see if they can help, or it might be a trip up to commend.com
HI John, what does AGW meanYes, commandonline.co.uk (definitely are ) in Lightwater, Surrey.
They should be able to help with the audio issues although it sounds like your AGW needs sending off for repair to me.
