Just got my C220CDI (2009) a week ago and have now washed it for the first time.

Not surprisingly, I have found 5 or 6 little chips that need to be treated, (nothing serious, but better to see to them now).

Has anyone got a good source for touch up paint or is the dealer the best place to go?

(Iridium Silver)

Go to your local MB dealer, that way you get an exact match, about £9 if memory serves me right.

Halfords do touch up paint kits priemer and the colour for mercs, not sure how comprehensive there colour range is though.

Hi as stated Dealer does a neat twin pack of paint and clear lacquer in a nail bottle size pack. Halfords do have Brilliant silver in a rattle can but have not seen Iridium in our local one. A paint supplier will custom mix a bigger can for about £12 if you have a big area. Best tip with the brush pack is to put some onto a plastic surface first using the brush, old ice cream tub lid or whatever. Then you can control what is on the brush tip rather than straight from the bottle with a big drop on the end!

Halfords paint is good if they have your colour. The brush tip is much finer than the MB one so better for small stone chips

Don't bother with the brush when touching in small chips use a wooden cocktail stick you have the ability to put just enough on, baring in mind you have to put the clear coat on when it's dry.
