The weather forecast was very promising for Saturday morning but not the afternoon so I decided to make the most of the weather, get up early 5am, and have a morning jolly.
As the world was sound asleep the shed was awakened and taken the reverse route of the first tour I did in her. I felt this was poetic as the car is for sale and if she finds a buyer, it may well be her last tour with me.
This is NOT an advert for the car, but she is looking good here
This is taken near the Duck Bay Marina hotel, its lovely in the morning
I decided to head over to Drymen. Normally this road is full of traffic and it cannot be enjoyed. Well, at not longer after sunrise its a lovely quiet and fun run, enhanced by Bilstein set up which allows a much flatter cornering set up, and actually makes the car more comfortable as there is less roll under cornering and no dive under braking. There is a 90 degree turn that can be taken with real enthusiam on this road. What fun!!!
But I am bored of the car now. I don't get the same sense of joy from it that I used to, and know in my mind, I'm just not that enthusiastic about it any more, so I hope I can move it on.
Being a man of habit, I decided to head down the East side of Loch Lomond to Rowardenen. There were some pictures I wanted to take when I was last down here, but didn't.

On the way to Rowardenen
A lot of people were camping here, don't blame them, first good Friday night, Saturday AM combination in a long time. That gulf stream needs to move north as the summer has been vile and I have not been touring as much as I need to be.

Onwards to the Dukes pass. This is where the drive gets interesting. Out of no where a Porsche appears. I overtook something, it followed, but I was going fast enough for it not to follow. Significant speeds were hit (60mph sir) and it was going no where but keeping a respectable distance.
Into Aberfoyle it was following and I went up the Dukes pass, its a narrow road and despite me going as fast as safely possible I could sense I would be holding up the man in the Porsche so I moved in on a short straight and allowed it to pass me, as I myself hate being held up by a slower vehicle.
It shoots off, and it proper takes the bends. So it should, it was a GT3.
A short while later, the Porsche is stopped in the layby. I stop and have a long chat with the owner. Really nice man, proper car fella and he is out for a morning jolly and on the same route as me, bar I am doing some photo stops.
I have some pics
From here I went to Loch Katrine, this Loch supplies Glasgow with water.
The Sir Walter Scott Steamer is also here
A short run was taken to Loch Lubnaig but you can see the weather was changing and the CD changed. Future mod for the next owner, fit a 6CD.
The traffic was busy heading up the A84 and no driving enjoyment was to be had. Scotlands roads in summer tourist time get infested with parasites with camper vans. Normally I really enjoy this drive, but with bunched up traffic, overtaking would be tricky despite 368ft/lb of torque which makes 50-90 dashes brutally quick as there is no gap to fit into. Sadly, some peope attempt these manouvers and I witnessed several near misses in a short drive.
The A85 was quieter and I really got to revel in the sheds new found posie, agility and control and the well sighted nature of the road, and few cars/campers meant any overtakes that were needed, got done.
After Kilmurchan castle, I drove back
