I had a problem today (air lock in fuel line) The hand book says an auto can be towed a short distance at slow speed.
My question is if the engine is NOT running how can you put the shift into nuetral to enable it too be towed.I had to change the fuel pipes and bleed the system 200 yds away from my home,It would have been much easier if i could have towed/pushed it onto my drive. My neibhour wasn't too happy with me stripping down my car outside his house.Without the engine running can it be pushed/towed ??? Without the engine running it was locked in park.

Huh.

How come it was locked in Park?

Just do as normal, press the brake and turn the key. The selector can then be moved to neutural.
