I'm wondering now if buying a Toyota was such a great idea!!

Maybe one difference between them and some other marques is that they will come out and do the recall rather than trying to ignore or deny known errors. On the whole it reflects well on them IMO if they attend to any historical issues and show some evidence of addressing any quality issues they may have had.
