7dayshop.com - Online Store

and a video here of the quality

YouTube - DVR D011 Car Dash Camera Review
YouTube - test footage from D011 dash cam

Now for Christams, its better than some socks etc, a nice little gadget.

Thanks

That should become mandatory purchase and use for anyone wishes to start a thread about other people's bad driving ;)

Thanks. I've bought one. £17 inc 4GB card and P&P. Bargain :)

Endles YouTube links of my poor driving to follow ;)

Nice spot. thanks !

have to admit I've been looking for one of those 'crash cameras' - sits in your car and records the last 30 mins on a loopback.

Fantastic! Do you know if it just does 30fps video, or also stopmotion stuff? (like a picture every 5 seconds or so?)

I'm thinking of buying a few for the rally!

M.

^ No idea but the 'clip' looked good enough for me,

We have done a few track days and a proper mount for the roll cage can cost more than £100 then you still need a camera.

For the money it's worth a punt and probably sell for more on flea bay :)

Sad - was hoping it would do stopmotion!

Any idea how long the 16gb memory will last?

I thought you could use free software to take stopmotion photos from any webcam device? I'll see what I can find.....

Mine has arrived :)

It's quite confusing to use, but I'll get there eventually I'm sure.

In the video on the website it says it comes with a 1.5m USB cable, but mine is only 0.5m, so I'll need to buy another for it to reach the cigarette lighter.

But I'm not really complaining, for the money it looks decent enough.

Post a clip if you can...

Mines a present to myself (better than socks and boxers) :)

I'll film my 10 mile commute to work tomorrow. Sounds dull I know, but 10 miles in a RWD car with minimum tread in the snow is excitement enough. (new tyres coming Friday before anyone questions)

Do you or anyone know of any free video editing software? Basic editing features plus time acceleration would be nice.

Thanks.

I've a PC. I'll give Microsoft Live Movie Maker 2011 a try and report back.

Thanks I've just given it a quick try on some very short movies and as you say it's perfectly OK for what I need. :)
