Agreed!

Which is why 'Monitor' is better than 'Retrieve'

The system detects any unauthorised movement and sends a theft-warning signal to TRACKER's 24-hour monitoring centre. This means we tell you if we think your vehicle is being stolen, enabling us to begin tracking as quickly as possible once you've reported it to the police.

Cos they can be out of the country pretty quick...

Carjacking is common up here :(

I have a mate who had

1. his driver's door opened

2. a gun held to his head at traffic lights in M/cr,
as the robber demanded his car, a BMW:rolleyes: 528i.

He took the most stupid risk (some might say was v. brave ;) ) and floored it and got away.

MB's auto-locking should prevent number one, and Tracker allows you the security of knowing you don't need to risk your life...

Guys
My car already had tracker I just had to activate it which was £130. My insurance took off 10 % off as it has a tracker which is about £80 saving.

No sticker!
Stealth... ;)
Theory is - they'd tear the car apart to find it...

We had a mint 1996 E320 cabrio jacked from southall, it was only there one night and was usually kept at my house miles away...

It was believed to be lifted on a truck and even though it was taken at about 5 in the morning from a busy area, no-one swa or heard anything.

Typical.

Insurance company refused to pay us anything.

Why - on what grounds?

Surely you pay for theft cover, not dependent on how it's nicked?

Had just been taken to germany by a friend.

He transfered his insurance for german use only or something stupid.

It was stolen the day he got back in the country, and as the car wasnt in my possesion they wouldnt pay me money, and he had no cover.

insurance companies will get out of it any way they can...
