Hi guys,
I'm planning to get a new set of tyres fitted on the rear end, do I have to do a wheel alignment for the rear ?

Are the current tyres showing signs of abnormal wear?

There is no sign of wear, I'm just curious if I have to do it or if is recommended.
I know that is recommended in the front but in the rear I have no idea

The recommendation is in fact for a 'full geometry" check... this is even more involving than just "4-wheel alignment'.

If the old tyres has any signs of unequal wear, this is more of a reason to get the alignment done as soon as the new tyres are fitted.

Technically a geometry "check" should be less involved than an "alignment", because unless there's anything wrong you don't need the alignment changing.

I wouldn't bother myself unless there's odd wear or something about the handling I don't like, but that's a personal choice. - It's generally not a big cost if the car is already on the ramps to have wheels changed anyway.

Any good place in SW London to do a full geometry / 4-wheel alignment ?
I live in Woolwich
Thank's

I live in London and drive to WIM in Chesham... well worth it in my opinion.

Finally I had my new set of Falken's Azenis fk453 and 4 wheel alignment done today at blackboots.co.uk,what a difference :)
They where really professionals !
Thank you all for the support and advice :thumb:
