St13: Tyre Bias? Why haven't all my other cars and all the cars of all my neighbours had this problem? Honestly, next - someone will blame the ozone layer for MB's failings.............
OK, I've got a solution for you: sell the car. You're clearly not happy with it.

As other said... Tony Bones at WIM is your man.

Stop speculating.... just go to WIM and get is sorted.

The pulling to the left needs to be sorted on a Hunter... it will not get resolved by attempts at rational reasoning on Internet forums.

And BTW... tyre bias can be rulled-out by swapping the two front tyres (right-to-left and left-to-right), assuming they are not directional.

You're missing the point redjules. It's not about whether it bothers you, it's not about uneven tyre wear even. It's about owning and using a product that is not fit for purpose. Can you try to get your head around this very simple concept?

Get your head around this very simple concept. Chill out or risk a heart attack or worse over essentially nothing.

Over the last ten years I've had numerous cars that have all pulled to the left to some greater or lesser extent. If you haven't, well lucky you.

Personally I'm more concerned about the state of our pot-ridden roads but hey I don't want to go off topic.

Either go to WIM as suggested or sell it

Additionally...

Find an empty car park - e.g. the lorry car park at Motorway services, or a supermarket car park after closing hours - as long as it is flat and even (i.e. not sloping in any direction). Then drive across it diagonally back and forth. This will tell you if you have an issue with road camber when driving on roads, or the car is actually pulling to the left.

If the full-geometry is fine (full-geometry is not the same as tracking), and tyre bias is suspected, then as said above you can swap the tyres across, or you could try opting for MO tyres - in my experience all MO tyres I bought had the coloured run-out rings in identical locations (though I accept it may have been a coincidence - I don't know for fact that all MO tyres are evenly balanced).

As others have said, it would be worth a visit to WIM. I know they're not on your doorstep but if you want it to drive straight and not pull, then it's the answer. I'm sure there are probably other places that could sort it for you too but all will need to take it out of spec.

Whether you like it or not it seems a common issue and one my car suffered with too until WIM sorted it. MB won't take the settings beyond their spec so accordingly the car won't drive straight. I agree that MB should be able to spec it correctly for our roads but...... It doesn't mean the car isn't fit for purpose, it just means their specs are wrong, which if you do as advised is easily sorted.

I'm puzzled that you think WIM should share all their spec settings!? Why should they, they have spent time and effort developing what works. It would be the same with any business. WIM post regularly on this forum with lots of useful info.

Good luck with getting it sorted.

Just come back from WIM after having two new front tyres fitted and the steering geometry recalibrated on the SL55. Quite a bit of adjustment needed and assume was reason for tyres wearing on the inside. Very professional operation and nice to deal with people who know what they are doing. Car felt loads better on the way home and warm enough to have the roof down!!
