Traction control, electrical?

Guys,

If I go by what the manual for my cars says when I press the traction control button (forgot the 3 letters on the button) a light should come up near the speedo telling me its off. I get no light? apart from flooring it around a corner how do I know if its on or off?

Could this be electrical if so any suggestions what I should check?

Well thats what i thought then i noticed some of the lights dont come on, like the heater control drivers side lights up but not the other side? fuse?

when you push the switch with the engine running it should put on the traction warning triangle. if this is not happening then there could be a fault with the switch.
