Trade Prices / What's it worth?

First of all, this isn't a for sale thread.

I'm currently looking to sell/trade my 2005 C220 Avantgarde Estate for something smaller and a bit more fun to drive as i no longer need such a large car.
I found a nice BMW 330 Clubsport up for £4,000 at a garage but they are only willing to give trade price which is £2700-£3000 "Depending on condition". You can get a basic 2005 Volkswagen Golf TDI with higher mileage for £3,000!

So what should i put my car up for as trading it in is out of the question?

7 Month MOT
Fresh powdercoated alloys
Arches all done
Literally nothing wrong with it - new battery, brakes, tires etc.

Never seen a C Class described as a 'large car' before! I can see a BMW 330 would be more fun, but surely it's not much (if any) any smaller??

You can get a free valuation via the CAP webiste, or on Confused.com, or on Autotrader. Quite a few dealers also give part/X prices on their websites.
