Trading in the C63

Think I might be joining you soon, V8 to flat six though!!.

I sold my C63 then went to a ML500 and down to a Passat Estate 140, never ever regretted it and worked out just perfect for me at the time. Still love my Passat.....

If it needs to be done it's better to have loved and lost than never loved at all....

However I do think Steve has a point...;)

Two miles will take 36-40 mins at an average stroll. 30 mins if you're a brisk walker, though the risk of getting a bit of a sweat on exists, not nice if an office worker or similar.

I'd try a bicycle instead :)

Yes I have actually been considering cycling as the weather is starting to improve, that's the cheapest option. But I'm too lazy to cycle!

Get a Smart then :D

At times like this it makes me think I struck the perfect balance with my 350, very decent performance and MPG.

Because even I get an itch every so often to possibly trade in for a C63... Then my brain kicks in and says keep the 350!!

+1 :thumb:

30mins means 4mph walk. Brisk, to average that in a built up area waiting on traffic lights etc is going to be pushing it.

I do 2miles walking every day, and work in an office and I don't appear in stinking. Well no one has said anything.

Its good and free gentle exercise and gives you genuine time alone to unwind after work, and mentally have some quiet time before getting to work.

Highly highly recommended.

I also walked 1 mile each way to work everyday, and it took me 15-20 mins. I did this for 8 years. Most days sweat free, but on a baking hot day you'll be sweating, there's no avoiding this, unless you're not human of course. :)

2 miles is a different story though, double your/our journey, and you wouldn't arrive stinking, but you would do by the end of the day if you had perspired on the way in. 2 miles brisk walking is going to produce heat, and therefore sweat. I hope Akhan chooses a robust Anti-Perspirant if he chooses to walk! :)

Its cooler up here, even in summer you can get off with the walk and the air is nice and warm and no need for a jacket, if you get hot, stop off and buy a cool can of juice and carry on.

Collected the car today as planned and all went smoothly.

Only put 27 miles on the clock today, so too soon to give a full and informed opinion, but I averaged 32mpg, all city driving with a gentle right foot. I am hoping this will improve as the engine breaks in.

Likes so far:

iPod connector in the centre console, glove compartment in the C-class was a pain.
Seat belt comes forward to help you reach it.

Lovely motor) its not a bad step down really )) Brabus chip should compensate!

looks lovely, really like the 19" wheels. enjoy the fuel saving.

Thanks guys, yeah the 19" alloys have been drawing some attention, getting more looks in this car, than the C63!

Nice like the roof with the white paint.

Very nice buy, enjoy, a shame you had to depart with the AMG, but you won't miss spending time in petrol stations. Love the wheels too. :thumb:

Thanks Mr.B, Mercs look great in white, especially when clean, polished and waxed!

Pagzzy, do join, it's not so bad. I'm not missing the C63 yet.

I'm pleased to report that I'm finally getting some good MPG results (not that anyone's interesed haha!)

^ It's a sad world when it comes to pass that you are getting some pleasure from giving up your C63 and getting excited over the mpg. :(

I know I have been there.

However that coupe does look great....:thumb:
