I've just ordered my Freeway to upgrade my Trafficmaster.

Questions.

Has anyone hard wired a power supply to avoid using batteries?

Has anyone wired one to the Telephone speaker?

Has anyone taken a feed to the HiFi telephone mute function?

Any comments or advice welcome.

The batteries last for absolute ages!!! Why hard wire?

My Traffic master (old one) took three aaa's and lasted about 2 to 3 months. Does Freeway last longer even though it talks?

Yup, takes 4 xAA batteries and they seem to last about 12 months in my case, but I don't use it every day.

Oh well I wouldnt hard wire it then.
