I will be picking up the E55 tonight, I want to make sure I have all the corrct bits to transfer the TV tuner from one car to the other.
Apart from the main box, what else would I need to take across?
Thanks
Max

Depending upon whether or not the other car was pre-wired for TV tuner, you would need:

Wiring loom
Brackets / Cage that the tuner fits into (think it's in the LHS of the boot)
Antenna

The cage is there, but the rest I am not sure about, is there anyway I an find out?

I'm hoping if the cage is there then you may be okay, could you recall if you saw any wiring behind the cage?

Not sure about the W/S211's. I believe that TV Pre-wire was an option on the W220 and few cars do have it (depends upon the other options fitted to the car). Believe it's code 860 where 861 is TV tuner (these codes are off the top of my head so I could be wrong!).

Check your VIN using the Russian VIN decoder), this will hopefully tell you whether yours is pre-wired.

By the way, is your TV tuner a digital one?

but the digital tuner plugs in via the analogue tuner, so you still need it. correct me if im wrong! :)

The wiring may not be in the car . The cage for holding the tuner will be presant if the car has Nav or Parktronic , they all fit to the same bracket . The saloon will have the arial fitted on the rear screen , there is a plug on the drivers side , on the estate model the ariel will be printed onto the rear screen but the connections and amps will not be fitted
