I've been washing my dads CL500 today and there's loads of dried on tree sap. It's like glue. I got some off but it's left quite a mark. Are there any products that can get rid of it?

Also if you give a nice wax after, I find very hot water in the next wash will get it all off usually.

Clay bars are great for this, paint will never be smoother!

Yeah, a clay bar is a good day's worth of arduous work, but it'll turn the car's paint to glass. If you think it's smooth now, clay bar it, then stroke it. :thumb:

Make sure you apply a good thick wax like carnuba gold afterwards as the lacquer will be bare after clay baring.

Tardis is fantastic at removing sap, glue, tar etc it's the best product out there by far. Also once done I would highly recommend a layer or two of Collinited 476s wax to protect the paint from tree sap in the future.
