Trolley Jack recommendations

I got one of these last year:

3 Ton Lift Heavy Duty Hydraulic Garage Floor Trolley Jack for Car & Van Lifting | eBay

As the W204 is heavier and the reach to the lifting area longer than my previous cars.

it doesnt go low enough for my mate's SLK though.

That one looks amazing similar to the Sealey jack that I bought.

I am a bit shocked at the delivery cost though (£50) !!

My sealey jack did not last long but my arcan alumnium jack from Costco has been amazing and had it for quite a few years.

As i use my trolly jack for everything, its in the boot all the time.Along with all the parts that go whoosh in the night that will ,after i change them over ,, get me running again .
I purchased a low lift jack to get under the control arms .

I have gone for the SGS Jack Stands.
6 Ton Ratchet Axle Stands - Lifetime Warranty

Since the head is wider than the slot on the jack point, do I just need to ensure one of the arms is in the slot?
I've seen this here:

But I have also seen it where the arms touch the shoulders of the jack point:

Thoughts?

I have the round rubber pads fitted to the jacking points on my 2006 SL500, is there a "tool" or similar to stop those slipping off an axle stand?

I went for the Arcan jack and it is a serious piece of kit.

Winter wheels now back on.

It's only occasional use no point in spending loads, you don't need lightweight low entry jobbie. Halfords or Clarke.

I've had one of the Arcan (Costco) jacks for a couple of years and used it on my W163 (ML) and a both of my Range Rovers.. A classic and an L322 (Mk3) which is over 2.6 tons.. the jack lifted it without any issues!! And being an older fart with a semi broken back, I must say that the Arcan is a lot lighter than the 3 ton trolley jacks that I also have, but not as light as my pals Arcan jack, which is all aluminium and way lighter, but appears to be obsolete :( And the rubber foot is very good at grabbing the car and staying put!

On a slightly different note, non Costco members can buy the jack on line with a 5% premium!!
