No axle stands ? Thats just bonkers and I hope he wasnt injured but he was asking for it !

Not a fan of the Cheap £30 Jacks after watching my mates 9 month old 'Cheap 1.25 Tonne' Jack drop his pride & Joy on to the discs due to seal failure!

Cheap Jacks means cheap parts and seals!

Fek that, I'm with DM, Clarke 2 Tonner as a minimum for me!

After much research and deliberating I finally went for the Clarke aluminium 2.5 tonne from Machine Mart.
Reasons ?: Alumininium for ease of handling
Low entry for versatility
2.5 tons rather than 1.25 because of the weight of the SL
The long pump handle and twist release lacking on most of the cheaper steel jacks
I know there are cheaper low entry steel jacks out there but they don't tick all my boxes and for a handful of uses a year (yes I am a wheels off cleaning guy !) it will do for me.
Machine Mart have one of their regular VAT off offers running at present so I saved£26
