I've kept fish all my life , currently i have a 300L reef tank.

I had one on my Ipod, forgot all about it, and it died.

Interesting. . . . Any photos

Here we go ...

Looking down the side

Front on ( it is the divider between my lounge and kitchen )

The sump underneath ( this is where all the heaters , skimmer , UV filters , auto top up and return pump lives ) , its also where you dose any additives that you need to. The less time you have your hands in the main tank , the better.

Excellent looking tank Howard. First class!

I have also kept fish all my life. Many types of freshwater tropical, brackish and Koi carp (outside of course!)

Even with a degree in chemistry I've never attempted Marine but can thoroughly appreciate your skill in keeping your tank like that.

Lets hope the OP manages a stress-free time!

However, I'm not impressed with the owner than expects a poor novice to take responsibility! I suspect he should just check the pumps and heaters are running daily and feed sparingly.

Well done again Howard, excellent.

Howard,
that Looks amazing, the lighting is superb . . . where are the fish ?

LOL.

Those are the blue actinic lights , the main halides aren't on in the photo.

When the actinics go on , the fish think it is nighttime and go to bed ( get into the rockwork ) ...

On a real reef the predators come out at night , so most things seek shelter.
