IME Tyreleader tend to sell older tyres hence why they are a bit cheaper. YMMV.

Plus, when something goes wrong it takes months to get your money back & you cannot speak to anyone either. Never again.

Finally able to update everyone who contributed to this thread. I had an important appointment today that I needed to keep and as I wasn't able to get a Goodyear delivered by this morning I had a local tyre fitter put a pair of Nexen on the car, normally they wouldn't be my tyre of choice but they got me out of a spot and so I'll see how I get on with them, having been on the motorway today I'm already feeling that they're quieter than the Goodyear, anyway thanks to everyone who contributed.

I'll start a new thread about my "experience" yesterday and today with my O/S rear 245/40 R17 91Y MFS Eagle F1 Asymmetric 2 after it cratered after 19650 miles still about 2mm above the wear bar - the basic lesson is "if the TPMS flags up red on the dashboard, stop immediately and check, no matter if the car feels OK".
