Trusted main dealers in yorkshire

Has anyone used any main dealer in the yorkshire region that you trust with your pride and joy, a dealer that actually understands about the phrase pride and joy,any recommendations?

Please do not take this the wrong way - if you want glass and chrome with "pretty babes" and have deep pockets then franchised all the way.

Should you consider - ex MB techs who are human beings that know from old to new MB cars then Prestige in Bradford are the boys (Jason and Graham) who work on A Class through SLS and also Phantoms plus BMWs.

There is nearly always an AMG variant in the garage whenever I visit as they know their cars.

MB of Wakefield have always been very fair and honest with me. They carried out the 23k service on my C63 and I could not have been happier, the car was well cared for from start to finish, you can sit and watch em while all the coffees are free.
Kevin and his crew are top class, and should be able to beat any like for like service quote.
In fact I needed a small AMG cover for the engine bay, which had to come from Germany, they fitted it for free as I had the service done there!

MB Doncaster have always been good and looked after my last 2 AMGs with no issues.

Someone i know from another owners club recommended stratstone mercedes in leeds as they are apparently the amg specialist for the stratstone group and he said they were good. I Called them this morning to have a chat with someone in service just before 9am the receptionist said she would get someone to call me back and hey presto no one has called me back. My car was recovered into mercedes benz of sheffield around 3pm on thursday and i haven't received one call from that dealer even though i have lost count how many times i have rung them to find out what is happening to my car and no one rings me back. Are all mercedes dealers really this ignorant! This C63 is my first mercedes and it will be my last.

I think you already know the answer to this, but its not only Mercedes dealers, its pretty much the same story with ALL dealers.

They're only interested in you until the point where they have either SOLD you a car, or whereby they have GOT your car. Good luck after that point.

I too will swear by Prestige in Bradford, i always give them my car for both servicing and repairs and havent had any problems with them.

+1 for Harrogate - I've used them for about 10 years. They really got themselves sorted out when Rybrook acquired them - service director was Gordon Hunter. He left about a year ago to go to JCT600 and now JCT600 has just bought MB Harrogate (& York), so full circle & I think things will remain at the same excellent standard.

I use Chesterfield and they are spot on. Called me every day over the 8 weeks my car was in, always polite, let me speak to the tech direct, top guys!

I Logged a complaint this morning as i had yet to find out what was happening with my car and all of a sudden i receive a phone call surprise surprise, they apologised saying they had a wrong mobile number it was one digit out.

Wes, the Service Manager, is spot on and straight talking.
I've also used Rybrook in York a few times since and they're very good at understanding Modded cars and our instant gratification
