Tuning boxes

Hi all, has anyone had experience fitting one of the many tuning boxes (plug and play type) into an A207(W212) E250 cdi bluefficiency please?
Read a lot about them and they seem like a good idea if I can pinpoint the best ones to look at...that seems to be the tricky bit there are so many out there...help please!!!!

Any reason why you want a box rather than a custom remap? Is it on lease? Which box are you looking at?

Hi

I have not fitted one to a Merc but I did to a 320d BMW.
Great results - until it packed up and my engine sounded like a bag of nuts and bolts.
Luckily when I removed it - the engine ran fine.

I would recommend a reputable remap.

Try and locate a second hand brabus tuning kit, great results and still plug and play

Blue spark. I like the box over a remap because when winter hits I take it off to avoid the power gains mainly the torque .
