Its so confusing. To be honest. It was a DELANY MOTORS, STOCKPORT. they are an independent Mercedes service. But did do any investigation . Just digonistic. Charged £60
Their website says they service all makes of car which would be different from a specialist in Mercedes cars who knows everything about Merc ?

Those diagnostics usually say replace turbo in this instance because they don't fix things anymore they simply replace at the owners expense. Most faults piggyback each other and cause limp mode . Get that temp sensor changed and go from there. If the turbo has been OK upto now , chances are its still OK. Any engine fault will cause limp mode and stop the turbo from working.

I would take it to Nick Webster in Poynton for proper Star diagnostic session. Think he charges £25.00 to plug it in. He is the best guy I know for Merc fault finding.

Are you sre £25 for star digonistic? D

I have a Star system and a full Scan takes 10 mins Nick and his team have about sixty years of Merc knowledge and a very good reputation. He pulled me out of the crap last Christmas eve with a loan car while he fixed mine.

I will call him tomorrow, see how it goes.

Just back from Nick Webster, hr changed upstream vacuum temp sensor to the new, but still getting the same fault, said dont know why.. air suspension, right body acceleration sensor fault, bout new from Mercedes, still coming thr same fault, car with arrow up. So i think nick webster was the same as others. Paid £52 to him.

Did he make tests for turbo actuator, check plausibility of temperature and pressure sensors?

He told turbo actuator not working, try to sell me turbo actuator for £300 fitted. First they said its flap motor, and said will fit for you for £450. Then put digonistic again and said its not flap motor. Everyone these days. Get your money and dont do their job. He shouldnt have charged me. Only for digonistic £22. 00

One more thing, i asked for print out of digonistic and he was surprised that what i am asking, said take a picture. Very unprofessional

300 turboactuator only, but fitted? Normal price I would say. Tester says if current fault codes prevent actutor test. If no, I would trust result.

Just Few things coming up my mind; Exhaust should be checked there is no blockage, then also wiring of the turbo controller should be checked since there is an error. Is the temp sensor still giving high temps? Are injectors cheked?

Reconditioned turbo actuator fitted 300. They have fitted the temp sensor and told me nee sensor still showing as fault. They should have fixed it not just charged me. Put me in the worst position.

Looking at that screen shot its pointing towards dpf pressure sensor , exhaust back pressure sensor . I did warn you of simple faults causing what people think are big faults , as in this case jumping to a conclusion its the turbo or the actuator . Your now on nearly £500 , a dpf pressure sensor is about £40 . Exhaust back pressure sensor say £60 . This thread started out with a dpf clean. Who cleaned it and is this when your turbo stopped working. Was the turbo OK upto that point ??

But they didnt told me these are faulty and need to be repaced, what should i do now?

I have changed turbo actuator last year in August, so thats under warranty and will get replacement today. But how should i do the regeneration of the dpf?

The car won’t regenerate the dpf if the car isn’t working correctly ... I thought the dpf was just cleaned ?
You are just going round in circles , going from garage to garage getting each one to do something else ?

Get live data readings for dpf sensor also exhaust back pressure sensor. Ive mentioned already these faults can daisy chain. 1 faulty sensor may tell you 4 others are faulty. What id do now would be buy 24 cans of guiness and 10 tabs , sit in the sun in the garden absolutely fuming ,get pssed argue with the wife and kick the cat.

Put new turbo actuator, all fault codes gone. It shows. All the mechanics had no idea what they were tallking about. Or may be they knew and want to just earn some extra cash. I am only disappointed with Nick Webster. As he has ample experience and just try to sell me parts.
