Hi. Long story short. Had to drill out the glow plug on my om642 and to make life easier, removed the turbo actuator. Then needed to start engine without it put back in the place but wasn’t reeving engine. After all was done i have now noticed that turbo sounds different. Like the vanes are not fully open or are open fully for all time and let to much air in. Hard to explain but it sounds like air/turbo is not picking up steady but with interruptions. Lets say-not shhhhh, but-shh shh shhhh under any load. Will try to add audio tomorrow. Friend of mine had same noice and replaced turbo but with my case,it was perfect before I removed and placed the actuator back. Anyone had experienced anything like that,please?
