Turbo seal, PCV Seal.....

Ones with an OM642 3.0L V6 diesel engine

Seems very interesting.

I changed my PCV a year ago for the new style one - I don't think this is really related to the PCV, just the actual intake and the pipe that comes from the PCV.

On my car, the little round holes on the T-shaped/batwing intake are split. They're the ones that the nipple on the orange seal slip into.

Because mine are slightly split, it means it's always cutting into the nipple.

Very curious to see how this is fitted, will research, thanks!

Anyone tried one? I’m tempted to get one.

As you can see in these pics, the nipple bit keeps getting cut off on mine, because some genius MB dealer tech over tightened the hose clamp, and cracked it.

Really want one of these, but the postage is £15 for the cheaper one.... just ends up being cheaper to buy loads of turbo seals and change them each time you take the air intake off!

I just ordered one of these, I used the slower shipping option and it was just under £30. Will probably take ages to arrive.

It's a lot for a seal, but hopefully it will solve the cracking/slipping issue with these seals!

Has anyone fitted one of these? Do you have to cut off the part of your intake/bat wing with the clip that the orange seal goes inside? Then fit the new hose over the bit left on the bat wing?

If MB over tightened that and broke it , get them to replace it , they cost well North of £400 !!!

The car is 10 years old and, although it has full MBSH, it was like that when I bought it in Jan 2019...

Still haven't received this... but only just read this and actually given it some thought. Looking at it, I can't see how it would work without absolutely butchering your bat-wing plastic. I don't really want to do that, so could be £30 down the toilet...

FYI: I called up TurboZentrum and asked if you have to chop away the intake to fit this, and they said you do, so I cancelled the order. It hadn't shipped anyway.

Mine just has a split 'hole' that the nipple goes into, and so I can just buy new orange seals for £3-4 and change them every few months...

£3-4 , more like £15-20

No… I’ve bought many of them directly from the dealer… They only cost a few quid
