TurBo stops working! E300TD

    Hey guys!!

    I have this weird problem in my car... some times when i start it the turbo doesn't work.. and then i have to park it switch off the ignition and then restart to make the turbo work..

    Its an E300TD 99 year 606 engine.

    If can help me out with this, i will really appreciate!

    Car:
    C43 AMG with a 55 engine and supercharger, E55 AMG, S500, etc
    It is probably an electrical issue rather than a mechanical one such as an air mass sensor as it can be re-set.

    The fault codes need to be read first really.

    Possible vacuum leak due to split pipe, split vacuum modulator, but more likely the EGR valve isn't working due to dodgy vacuum modulator so the ECU goes into limp home mode and drops the turbo.

    The EGR is monitored by the MAF so a faulty MAF could cause this but unlikely. It's more likely to cause the EGR failure to be ignored.

    So, what should i do??? where is the MAR sensor? should i get the codes read first?

    Get the codes read and see what it throws up, but if the EGR valve isn't working it will cause limp home mode to be activated.
