TWIN TURBO KIT

Last year I remember a couple of them appearing on ebay for £1k. I guess £2,000 is still a hefty sum cheaper than the original price.

I emailed the chap, and he doesn't know if the TT kit would fit the 320 motor, but he says the paper work says its specifically for the 300-24 engine.
Would it fit the 320 engine, then?
He mentioned it doesn't have a full exhaust system the "front section - twin downpipes and a silencer".

Anyone fancy a turbo boost? :D

The turbos will fit the 320 but the intake side and extra injector is totally different. I guess you could make up the bits but it's not an easy conversion at the best of times.
I'd also worry that there might be bits missing. There are a huge number of items in the kit. For instance I can't see the intercooler in the pictures.

Is the black box shape thing not the intercooler?

I think that's the air filter box. You can see it bottom left of this picture of RBYCC's car.

surely the airfilter box is on the induction side, not the turbo side?

That is the induction side! ie air inducted into the turbo.

Watercooled turbos as well, nice.

Looking at the listing the most expensive bits have go to be the turbos and the ex manifolds.

I remember last time i`ve seen one for sale was last year on ebay. The auction ended £1000 with no bids.I wish i could find one now for the same price.

I have a 300-24v kit for my 190 - which has a 3.2 engine in it :)

I will be making a fair few changes, fabricating some of the pipework and obviously completely replacing the management.
However the manifolds, and turbos are the same on all 3 kits so in theory any kit can be modified to fit any engine. Overall I think the kits are very comprehensive and when you look into it they are excellent value for money, even at £2k if you happen to have a 3.0 24v.

I would seriously consider another kit for my SL as the car now has no intrinsic value due to its cat C status - yet its mint and I love it! In a perfect world I would find a 3.2 kit for the 190 and could use the 24v kit on my 12v SL

Whichever route you take just be prepared for aftermarket management - then it wont end in tears :)

Just thought I'd check in, I'm the seller. Your right on the intercooler being missing from the pic, I do have it, was just upstairs and forgot to put it in for the picture. The kit is complete and was checked against a list before I bought it. Can even offer some spares if needed down the line.

I've got a 24 CE with a mosselman kit, hours of fun. :bannana:
Got a few more interesting bits for sale, will get an ad up.
