TV antenna in the CLS

Hi all,

I've recently had some codes read from Star and one keeps popping up:

9499: There is a short in the line of TV antenna 1

Could anyone tell me what needs replacing/checking to resolve this?

hey Don, ive seen it once before, but once the codes were cleared I haven't seen it again, its going to be tv related and if you have a analogue tuner, you wont use the aerial anyway!

Thanks for the update Alps, I tried clearing it several times, but it always comes back!

I have a digital tuner, but hardly ever use it! I am tempted to code it out of the AGW and disconnect it until I get the antenna sorted....

Antenna amps (I assume this is a W211) are in the back windscreen. I can't remember which has antenna 1,2 and which has 3,4 (one on each side, one is just TV amps, the other is combined with other antenna (FM/AM/etc and door unlocking)

If you're worred about the short circuit, disconnect the antenna connector from the TV tuner.

Thanks for the update Richard, This is a CLS (219) so I assume the antenna is in the back windscreen too.

I'll try and disconnect the antenna from the TV tuner
