Type of Oil Recommendations !

I have a C320 ( W203 ) Elegance saloon.

My Local Mercedes dealer told me to only use semi-synth oil as this was the recommnded type by Mercedes. I have been using Castrol Magnetic.
Can I use fully syth oil and if so what grade, could I use a 5 - 40W etc... or should I just stick to semi.

Hi Jay,

If you came to my shop and asked me what type of oil for your car, I would recommend a 5w-40 Fully Synthetic or if you really wanted to save a few pennies then a 10w-40 Semi Synthetic would be OK.

Go for a good brand but not neccessarily the very expensive ones where you just pay for the name and advertising.
