Had my a35 in for wheel alignment at mb Edinburgh, along with some warranty work. First tech made a shambles of the alignment and clocked up approx 20 miles on road tests, the warranty work was - possible binding brakes, knock from front and rear end and noisy passenger window.

Got the the car back and had to drop it off again for the wheel alignment to be sorted a second time, by a senior tech - who managed to sort it and clocked up only 4 miles which is reasonable.

Upon checking my car I’ve noticed part of the tyre air compressor is missing - the black hose which connects the compressor to the tyre valve. It was in my boot under the storage. No idea why they’d even be in there but stuff had been moved around. I’ve raised it with the service advisor and waiting a response. If they don’t find it, I’ll be asking for a replacement which seems fair.. why are mb such a joke? This kind of service put me off the brand initially and now I’m genuinely thinking of selling up again..

I don’t think selling up is the answer. Just change dealers. For what it’s worth, BMW and Audi dealers I’ve dealt with are no better.

Just seems that crap service is the norm these days unfortunately.

I'm surprised. Eastern Western have a good rep.

I'd recommend MB Coldstream (part of the group) to anyone.

I've always had good service from MB Grangemouth, which is part of the Arnold Clark Group. However, like many dealerships, post-Covid, they now use a central booking service that has never heard of discounts.
