So just like another member being driven crazy by choice in another thread, I have a similar but slightly different dilemna/question.
My SL350 is currently fitted with 255 40 18 on 8.5J rims at the front.
On the rear it has 285 35 18 on 9.5J rims.
I need to replace all four tyres.
The MB Handbook lists on option for the SL350 as having a matched set-up option (as opposed to the staggered option above) of 255 40 18 all-round. BUT it shows that set-up as being on 8.5J rims at the rear.
Would it still be possible for me to have this matched set-up with 255 40 18 all round, even though I have 9.5J rear rims? Or would there be a problem/issue with putting those tyres on to those rims?
Many thanks in advance!
