Hi,

So I am heading in a trip and my car will have 5 passengers and the boot will have several suitcases.

I looked at the fuel filler cap and it says 51 psi however the tyres state 50 psi max pressure. This is for 275/45/20.

I was slightly confused and didn't want my tyres to explode so I put in 44 psi in the back and 42 psi in the front (245/35/20).

Any advice of what you would recommend for a full car in terms of psi?

Your tyres are not going to explode.
I didn't literally mean they are going to explode. I stated it metaphorically. I don't want to inflate my tyres outwith the recommended maximum psi hence I was asking for advice.

50 psi sounds too high for a W213 - are you sure you read the sticker correctly? Can you post a photo of it?

It's not always accurate but it will give an idea regarding the correct pressure.

BTW, are these original NB wheels? The tyre size for the rear doesn't look right.

This is what your car should have:

Rear: 9J x 20 ET 53 | Tyre: 275/30 R20 XL
Front: 8J x 20 ET 43 | Tyre: 245/35 R20 XL

Yeah sorry typo from my end. I do have those sizes. I will send a picture shortly :)

What is on your fuel filler cap must obviously be correct even if it looks high.

I find trial and error works for me, start with the figures I suggested then adjust to suit.

Thanks. I think you are right there.

If the tyre says 'max 50 psi'..... then inflate it to 44 at the front and 50 at the rear.
