Tyre size?

I have 17's on my S204 C220, changed them from 16's a few years ago, lost a lot of the "wallowing" in the ride without sacrificing ride comfort. Mine are staggered setup, from memory 7.5J fronts with 225/45 tyres, 8J rears with 245/40 (actually now 235/45 as I could not find 245/40 all season tyres anywhere). Tyres are Michelin XClimates front, Bridgestone all season rears. I suspect 17" tyres are somewhat cheaper than 18's and will give a softer ride, so Jay's offer might be a good bet for you!
You have a quick side view pic on what it looks like please?

You'll just end up with wheel arch tbh. With the 17's .
Doh time yet again - not sure what you mean. Also, I edited my comment to include: ...especially the rears - or is that pic using a non-staggered set up?

Below is the difference between a 19" rim and a 17" rim. You can see how bigger wheels fill up the wheel arch gaps . Purely for looks and definitely not for comfort. 😂

Something wrong there - the rolling radius must be the same, so the gap between the tyre and the arch shouldn't change. I suspect the car on 19s has different suspension (to go with the body kit).

Seen these on FB Marketplace (as mentioned above) Seem to be unmarked so no refurb needed

Details are 2214015102 Et 43 8.5j X 18H2. Pic below is not the actual wheels, just a pic from Ebay. I reckon they will fit???

Plug your details into this and compare it to the standard details, or what you have now.
Always found it useful.

Yes, will fit with just 2mm difference (no speedo correction or anything) and seller tells me they are unmarked so that saves the refurb cost. Did someone say there was a website where I could do a mock-up of what they would look like on my car? I actually think they'd look good??

When I bought my S204 it was advertised as having 18" AMG wheels, so when the time came to replace the tyres I purchased accordingly - 225/40. It took me a while to notice that the tyre did not seem as wide as the rim so the alloys got kerbed pretty quickly. What I think happened is that whoever sold on the S204 to the dealer took off the genuine AMG wheels and replaced them with something else which was a slightly different size. I need to replace the fronts now so intend to get the wheels refurbed and powder coated at the same time

Long way of asking what tyre size(s) should I get? Numbers inside the wheel are ET45, 18x8jj and 113 6818 (can the wheel make be identified from that information as well? )

Many thanks

Except it isn't useful , it's misleading.

If you physically have the two different sizes side by side and real world measure I promise you a different outcome.
