Car
clk230k cab / vito 2.2cdi
hi iv a vito (mk1) with
195/70/15 tyres on 5.5" rims
they also supplied them with 215/65/15 on 6" rims
id like to put 16" alloys on, iv looked at tyre size charts and they recomend + or - 2.5%
so
195/70/15 to 225/60/16 = 3.36%
but if i had been supplied with 215/65/15 as standard
215/65/15 to 225/60/16 = 2.27%
so are these to big and what? if any complecation ( speedo wise) whould i have.
#help needed as starting to pull hair out now (which i car,nt afford to loose)

alloy wheels

Hi just for the record I`m in the trade and sell tyres as part of my everyday business, I would recommend ensuring wheels are strong enough for commercial use (specially if used with any significant load on board) and of course it follows.that tyres are adequate too, sorry to throw a spanner in the worx, but better safe than sorry.
Cheers .............Paul

no many thanks , i was looking at ML wheels, but have managed to get hold of some viano wheels, just got to sort some bolts (& locking) out and off we go , but the WEIGHT thing is very IMPORTANT so often you see Vans with car alloys on.
