Many moons ago my dad bought a Jowett javelin van it was the most ugliest thing I have ever seen, it was so ugly when we went to pick my cousin up from work she caught the bus instead, what's the most ugliest vehicle you have owned

Not owned but Dad had a red Sierra E-reg from new, and he kept it going for what seemed like forever till finally replacing it ten or so years ago. I used to walk to football training and catch lifts with team mates parents as a result of this, thing was hideous!

Not owned but...
While serving my apprenticeship, my boss was hankering for an American car. One day he goes out to buy an early 70's Mustang, but comes back with a 76 Chrysler Cordoba. White with a green half vinyl roof and full dark green interior, if it was not chrome it was green.
As an 18 year old who was on the trade policy, you can imagine my disappointment.
Expecting to be having a go in a nice pony car, I was offered the use of the land yacht, well it was more unusual than my mk1 Escort so I took it to collect my girlfriend, she refused to get in it and walked off.
Perhaps I should have followed, but despite its ugly presence it had a V8 and sounded great.

Despite my view of 70's American cars softening (I own a 79 Corvette), I still can't help thinking the years have not been kind to the Cordoba

76 Chrysler Cordoba
Had to do an image search for that. You're right: it was pig-ugly.

The scary bit is that it was hugely popular in its home market, with demand outstripping supply for the first two years and it was instrumental in providing Chrysler with a "mini recovery" financially

I had a Ford Scorpio many years ago (just checked, nearly 20 ) , the one with the weird droopy front and the strange back end with one light going all the way across the car if anyone remembers them.

OK, it was as ugly as sin, but you didn't notice that when you were driving it. Full leather, air, electric everything and a 24v Cosworth engine to complete the package.

A lovely place to be, but not a car you'd park and then look back and smile at. :D

Incidentally, I agree about the Cordoba, though always liked the Jowett for some strange reason...

Incidentally, the Javelin was never made as a van, it was the Jowett Bradford apparently. (Been Googling) :)

:)

Ah yes, the Ford Uglima

I was forced to borrow my old mums DAF Variomatic it was red/brown color with a crappy little engine,I tried only to go out in it at night, you pushed the gear stick forward to go forward ,you get the picture, but one thing I found by accident was that you could reverse at the same speed as you could go forward,it led to interesting times with my mates on deserted factory estates,I handed it back after a month as I got a new car,and then she went through a deep puddle and swamped the engine and it was finished.

I think Clarkson said the front "looked like the village idiot".

He also described a Nissan 350 ZX looking like a dog preparing to have a poop.

Hate to be pedantic, but that was the Chrysler Crossfire [emoji1]

I remember them. Really awful looking car. It killed off the Granada. I could get used to the front (just about) however, the rear was just :fail

Bet it was fast for its time though.

Ant. :D

Ugliest I've had would be my first ever car. MG metro (get in there!)

However, my Mum & Dad bought an FSO Polonez from new when I was a kid. For some reason I can always remember the price. It was £2450.00

I believe it was possible to do 149 with 5 people and a months-worth of luggage in the boot whilst autobahning, although I think that may only have been possible for 19 year old's from what i have heard

Many moons ago I had a well used Triumph Torledo 1500, it was a 'stop-gap' car and served as a runabout for a few months while I waited to take delivery of a brand new Morris Marina 1.7 HL in a colour that I can only describe as 'Trouser brown' !
I honestly don't know what I was thinking of at that time in my life ....
Two butt ugly cars in a row
I did redeem myself a couple of years later by p/x-ing the Marina and ordering an RS 1600i  not the prettiest car at that time but by no means the worst.

Never had a car that I consider ugly, although my then girlfriend said the following about my first car:

"Cricket is boring, over and over, but I'd rather do that than be seen in a [Vauxhall] Nova"

Just stumbled across a photo of it:
