Any kind member please advice how can I have ultra bright sidelights on my mercedes s320 cdi on 53 plate as my previous attempts have failed with no results.Normal 501 sidelight bulbs work no problem. Thanks in advance. Ashfaq

Are the "ultrabrite" side lights LED based?

If yes, the impedance they present is causing the car to indicate them as faulty.

I think... you can buy adapters to overcome the problem but I may be mistaken

The bay has them, I've bought but not fitted some but I'm not sure which bulbs your car takes?

Chas, how do you find LED interior lights.. are they a nice glow or a bit stark?

Ashfaq,This may help.

I've used LED interior lights in a previous car.
The light is very white - not noticeable during the day, positively pleasant at dusk, and distinctly blue in the dark.
A little bit clinical as you climb in & out of the vehicle, but very odd looking as you unlock the car from a distance and the interior lights go on. Yellow street lights increase the effect.
If you decide to try it, keep the incandescent bulbs, just in case.

IanW, did you encounter any bulb blown type errors?

The car in question didn't monitor interior bulbs - it was somewhat elderly.
