Uneven idle

Hi all
I was wondering whther you might be able to shed some light on this please.
93L W124 E220. The car has an annoying intermittent fault of the idle fluctuating mostly when the car is warm. Doesn't happen all the time, but when it does it nearly stalls cos the revs drop so low.

Any idea what might be causing this?

I have the same problem. I suspect gearbox needs oil. I will try transmission oil change and see if it helps. Any cheap MB garages or service near Edinburgh?

have a breeze through this, not the same issue but may be pointing at similar things.

plenty knowledgable members on this forum, somebody will come along and help out here.
