Lyrics from current popular Iraqi music video:

"Their senators will weep for the bodies of soldiers....
Their corpses will be submerged in blood, and our streets splattered red....
The men of Falluja will make Bush despair for the lost sons of his land"

Remind me again: where this is all going?

Your source?

Financial Times magazine 24 April ran an interesting but very sobering article on the strife in Falluja and how the US had completely underestimated the strength and resiliance of the clans in that area of Iraq, which is ultra nationalist, very religious and see this as holy war against godless infidels who have questioned their courage.

Situation did not get better when in responding to sniper fire US troops by accident killed 15 unarmed locals. This was followed by a number of other incidents including children killed by stray rounds and so on top of everything else it becomes a really big tribal honour/revenge thing.

Author and performer of the song (actually a traditional Sufi chant being sold on a Video CD and intercut with images of the downed helicopters, burnt out Humvees and a lot worse) is one Salah Hashan al-Janabi, now unsurprisingly hiding from the Hellfire missile with his name on it.

A lot of Americans are worried this is already their next Vietnam, hence the big row when the US Government tried to supress from the media the pictures of rows of Stars & Stripes draped coffins.
