Thought the better of posting today's events, nothing like bringing the roof down on your head.

hoho! hopefully nothing related to this!
Group of drivers detected at 128mph

"A group of four drivers were clocked driving their cars at 128mph on a Highlands road, police have said.
The men - aged 55, 46, 35 and 22 - were detected on the A890 at Glencarron, west of Achnasheen, early on Saturday afternoon.
Police said officers had been alerted to the driving by a "concerned member of the public".

I used to love my days patrolling in unmarked cars and on unmarked bikes - great fun! We had the usual Granadas, Senators and Omegas, an XJ-PS, a Cosworth Sapphire and a Sierra 4x4 (both with 4 sets of number plates...and matching tax discs!), an Escort Cosworth for a while, an Impreza, and a Saab 9-5 Aero (with an exploding clutch....). Bikes included a Blackbird and a Fireblade, but the good old dark blue ST1100 Pan was my favourite because it was so comfy...and never, ever got left behind! Funnily enough, I caught more folk with marked vehicles than I ever did with unmarked ones - I tended to lean towards cautioning if I was using a plain vehicle....firm, but fair! :D

Both with 4 sets of plates, surely that is about as illegal in motoring terms you can get lol.

Recently I have seen 2 unmarked Police vehicles in the Exeter area with officers dealing with motoring incidents, One was a BMW M5 in silver, I can't recall the other.

Car in question was a 3 series BMW , spotted just in time, with the non standard antenna instead of the shark fin on the roof. Debadged as well .

M4?

Saw a 3 series a while back pull an Audi over, the Beemer had a small colour coded box on the bootlid.

Hmmm, we must have crossed paths during my 25 years of biking in Derbyshire. I expect you've had a few fry-ups at the Woodside Cafe at the bottom of the Gellia.
I remember the Fartblood, Pannie and Bird. Also the Scooby, numerous BMWs and a particularly stealthy Volvo Polestar. In all that time I only got 2 tickets. One at 79 on the A515 when it was NSL and one at 62 on the Via Gellia. Both from handheld zappers.
Thing about stealth cars and bikes is that your body language/style/positioning is so different from average that it's like having flashing blues on your roof.
Are you retired now?

I am indeed retired, for some years now. :D Tbh, I only ever had the odd driver spot me in or on something unmarked, especially if they were going for it....too busy looking ahead! Anybody that did spot me was usually too late.....as I said though, I reckon cautioning had a more positive effect on future driver behaviour in those circumstances! :)

Yep, The Woodside was a regular spot - is it still there, I've not been on the Via Gellia for years?

Heading south from Aberystwyth, Silver with antenna on roof and two rear view cameras in rear screen on drivers side, number plate ending KUT.
