Unusual ...... Birds eye maple kit for a w124

I thought birds eye maple wood was a dark black colour. Clearly not for E500 Limited/E500 as the wood cutouts are different for the standard options.

Me to.

I always thought birds eye maple was light - I have a guitar made from it and that's very light.

It's a beautiful wood and should look superb against a car with a dark interior.

Shame its for a saloon or the whale might have a new interior ....

Black leather and birds eye maple ..... mmmmmmmmmm

I have it on my W211 Avantgarde and it is black. However I think that is has been coloured and starts off light. I believe Jaguar use it in the X-type sport....coloured Green....YUK!

Oh right - Thanks for the information. As far as I know the E500 was offered this wood option although it was very dark. I have attached a photo for reference.

My CLK has Bird's Eye Maple and it's black.......I guess it must be stained black then as this one is clearly a light colour.

I still need to find the interior trim code for W202 birdseye maple, I have seen a few factory-built examples of this!

Maybe I should just order that cheap interior piece with the two unknown or unlisted codes I see on the EPC (~£10-15 each).
