(Not unusual, but rare-ish)

And if you ever get the chance to drive one.... Don't! :-D

Yeah, most shooting brake conversions on the GT's and the like are for the Arabian market, they love a Superwagon! Also a good market for all wheel drive Rolls Royce Shooting brakes!
gross but amazing at the same time. I'd like to see one in the flesh

I have seen one of the 456 'sportwagons' and it was actually not that bad. Looked very purposeful and the interior was actually better finished than an original 456.

Having said that, I do have a strange fetish for quick estates!

I saw THE rover SD1 estate at Gaydon last weekend. :bannana:. I think it was the only prototype they made and Michael Edwards used it for his personal transport for a while. Didn't look bad a t all IMHO. ;)

I've driven a McLaren SLR before. Frankly it was scary!

Hows this for quirky: MK1 VW Caddy pick-up. Restored and lowered it was my daily hack, I got fed up of being stopped by joe bloggs every time I stopped (guys in vans would follow me), I gave it up......

...good ridance, not a ***** magnet but such a ball-ache every time I stopped! Couldn't go for fuel, shops, stop at lights. Every 2 min job was a 20 min story. Good ridance.

We were at a village fete many years ago and the local Ford dealer had brought some cars, one of which was a nice Model T.

At the end of the day they were packing up and I just happened to be sitting in the T with the kids making sure they didn't do too much damage!

Anyway, one of the sales guys must have thought I looked like a potential customer beca u se he asked me if I would like to drive it the 5 miles back to their showroom.

Fortunately trafic was light as it needed a lot of concentration to keep the thing moving, and to stop it in a controlled manner.

The hand throttle and advance/retard took some getting used to!
