Hi my sat Nav is all over the place, Mercedes said it needed to go on the computer in the workshop for about 3 hours and would cost around £100+vat. There is a Navigation disc in the boot be side the CD changer magazine, and ideas? I thought I could just up-date the disc;I have seen some advertised on this forum.

Thanks' for any help.

Bill.

They must be wrong. If you have the DVD based system it is just a matter of a new disc...which aint' cheap.

If it is all over the place does that not point to the antenna ?

Driving through fields that are now housing developments means it needs updated.

Do you mean you sat nav is (significantly) mistaken about the correct position of the car? This most often means a broken GPS antenna. You could check from the head unit how many satellites it sees ("-" means an issue with the antenna or the cable).

Go into the engineer's menu and check the number of satellites it picks up

if you need a map update you don't need a disc just a sd card via mercedes download manager......if it's not working full stop try re-inserting the disc that came with it....

Hi and thanks'all, been to a Mercedes specialist and it's the antenna, anyone know where best to pick one up please.

Your Mercedes dealer?

bald.de

ebay

I was hoping for an aftermarket antenna, as The dealers are expensive.
But thanks' anyway.

Bill.
