When I bought the car it was fitted with 205/ 35 18" wheels on the front and 245/35 18" on the rear, and lowered suspension.
It did look lovely, but I just couldn't cope with the crashing and banging if I failed to avoid a pothole. Now on 195/65 15".
It's so much better.

It's a pity that several UK concessionaires, including MB, still insist on specifying large wheels/very low profile tyres, despite our roads now being more like a series of craters, with a few smooth'ish patches in between. In many parts of Europe smaller wheels/higher profile tyres are available, yet their roads invariably put ours to shame.

I tire of hearing politicians rabbit on about 'world-leading? I suppose it depends on the definition of world-leading.

One of the reasons I ditched the e350 coupe in favour of a glc350 , my tyres are 19 inch but with a 55 sidewall . Power with comfort. 👍

Just put winter wheels on the wifes Nissan, went from 225/45x19 all round to 215/60x17, went from crash bang wallop over every pothole to quite a comfortable ride.
