Upgrade W210 rear lights to facelift versions

Hi,
I want to change the rear lights on my 1998 W210 E280 saloon to the avantgarde facelift versions - I think the newer clusters look much better - especially the inner bootlid-mounted sections.
I've found a couple of old threads about this, but has anyone done this more recently? If so could you just take me through the steps involved - is it easy?
Also, where did you source the parts from - genuine Mercedes or aftermarket imitations. Which is best and how much should I expect to pay for them?

I would go for the update smoked style with the led lights in them. You can find these on ebay.

If your willing to spend the money go for these facelift looking smoked LED rear clusters they will look sweet no doubt but if your looking for something less fancy or something cheaper go for the facelift original standard clusters from places like GSF since at the moment there is no one selling on ebay
