Hi,

Hoping for some help with this, I have the original steering wheel with the buttons down each side of the wheel, and want to fit the facelift version with the buttons on ‘top’ either side of the airbag.

I have take the existing airbag off and it has two wires attached that the new one doesn’t have terminals for, I believe they are just ground points - can I ignore them and tape them up?
(If I remember correctly one is a thin black and the other a thicker brown)

If anybody has done this mod please let me know if you did anything else to get it to work....

Thanks

I have done it but was maybe 4yrs ago & I can't remember off the top of my head what wires did what tbh.. I'll have to look back on my diagrams what was done..

I’ve worked it out, one of the connectors goes into a male spade connector that is mounted on one of the bolts (this isn’t present as the airbag I have is from a Sprinter which has slightly different wiring), so I will swap that over, and the other has a Y connector that splits the existing spade into two!

So hopefully should all be good once I have a chance to try again...
