Afternoon all

First time posting on here, have read many a thread that's been helpful so far with my newly purchased W221. All is well so far but i am looking to get it mapped with the possibility of adding a performance front mount if they do one, I've had a look around and i cant seem to find one so maybe there isn't even one available? That's where im asking someone who may know where to get one or has one fitted themselves

Any help much appreciated

Cheers

Arran

I don't think the intercooler is a particular issue with these, unless you're looking for more power than a normal remap?

Im going to go for a blend of power and economy map, just thought of adding an intercooler for better efficiency

The standard intercooler would be fine for that so, a good service before the remap be just as useful.

Is there an EGR delete kit for these as the only one i can find is for the 220? I want to removed that and clean the inlet manifold before the map

If there is I'm not helping you find it.
Maintain the car properly and think of the health of others.

It’s terrible for the car so needs to go, and the car is maintained properly. Chill

Without EGR that car would never have made it to market. Your part is to maintain it in the condition it left the factory.
Apart from the effects on peoples health (which we all have to pay for when they require medical treatment) you are also wrecking the secondhand market for diesels by creating another bodge job.

You don’t have to keep the car the same as it left the factory though do you

I don't think there is much in the way of aftermarket support in terms of intercoolers. Im currently exploring options giving the limited space and not wanting to cut things Im looking at the Mishimoto J-Line and making myself some custom hard pipework.
In terms of EGR, there is not much info available, I have seen blanking plates for sale that bolt onto the head and the exhaust manifold. I chose to remove the stainless pipe that bolts onto the plastic intake pipe, turn up a blank and weld it in. That way Exhaust back pressure can still be monitored when tuning.
Hope this helps.
