Guy,

i have just found out that when I canged the rear anti roll bar strut I have left the locking wheel nut in the wheel. That was a week ago so there is no chance of finding it not even if I could remeber where the car has been.

So the big question is how do I get them off in order for me to replace them.
They are the original ones fitted from new I think and I have checked all the paperwork that came with the car but no code to be found.

I'm going to take it to my indi on Monday for advice.

Just thought I would ask you wise ones.

The key number sticker should be in the back of either the handbook or the service book.

If not any dealer should be able to help. I think quite a few tyre centres etc. have sets of all the various wheel nut keys too.

Nip into your local MB dealer as they have a full set of keys and will order a new matching one for you.

Hi Mark,

Just nip down to your local MB parts dealer. They have a master set and will be able to supply you with a replacement locking key for about £20 - usually needs to be ordered in though (a few days)

If it's got MB locking bolts, just go to MB and they'll get their master set out and order you a new one.

LOL - great minds eh ;)

4 replies all with the same time on has got to be some kind of record! :D

Try a dealership - they may have should have a range of keys or beable to source the correct one.

Guys

Thank you very much for your help, I will pop it over to the dealer on Monday.

Regards

Mark

Called in the local MB dealer at Stoke yesterday, showed him the spare bolt which puzzeled him a bit as he said they only come with 4 bolts, so not sure why mine has 5 anyway he matched it to a key and ordered one for me, due in Wednesday £28.00 plus vat. I can now go and get the anoying wobble and the tracking sorted this weekend.

Thanks for all your help.
