Oil seals on the connector plug of my autobox is allowing ATF to travel out and down the sump. I have plenty of ATF but I need to know if anyone has the exact measurement from the bottom of the dipstick to the top mark? As I have rigged up a temporary dipstick until I can get to the dealer later tomorrow.

Assuming that you have a removable dipstick, the upper mark is for when the gearbox oil is hot, the lower for when it is cold. Always check your oil when hot, i.e. after at least a 5 mile run and with your engine running, box in neutral. Its a good idea to let it tick over for a couple of minutes too before checking the levels.

I have a alternative to the removable dipstick but need to know what the measurement is on the proper one so as to ensure that the oil level will not damage the gearbox.

Can anyone provide the measurement to the upper mark from the bottom of the ATF dipstick?

If its the 722.6 box, this is what you're looking for
